2010       Comp%   TD  Int. Rating
Player A  58.3         14    15  77.1
Player B  61.8         26    20  82.4
Player C  58.8         20     9   87.5

There are two things these three players having in common: they were available for a trade today and they are average at best NFL quarterbacks.Yet somehow Player B (Palmer) was traded for a first rounder this year and a second rounder next year.  While Player A (McNabb) and Player C (Orton) were both replaced in the last couple of weeks for general sucky-ness.

I'm not advocating the Raiders should have traded for McNabb.  He's been spinning bounce passes for years now but hell it would have probably only cost a conditional 7th rounder to get him.  The Broncos look like they are going into tank mode and probably would have given Orton up for a mid round pick.  I would imagine Orton could do about as well as Campbell, maybe even a little better.

That's why it's truly mind-blowing that Palmer was dealt for even one high draft pick not to mention two.  The dude hasn't been good since 2006, turns 32 this year and has had an elbow injury and his knee caved in.  Yeah great trade!

The Raiders are my second favorite team so I hope I'm completely wrong and Palmer has a Kurt Warner like resurgence in the twilight of his career.  But I doubt it.
